I'm alive!

Hello everyone!!

I know it has been AGES since I've been on my blog, sorry!!! It will probably be a bit longer until I'm officially back but I just thought a brief update was in order.

We've been crazy busy the past couple of months. As most of you know, Bryon works for AFRICOM, a name you have probably been seeing in the news lately with the Libya crisis. Well, my hubby is in the mess of it all. He was supposed to deploy to the Congo but was taken off the deployment to be on the US Libya Crisis Response Team. It has been a very trying time for us all but thankfully, Bryon's mom came and stayed with us the past 6 weeks and has been a GODSEND! She has now returned to the States and I'm back to normal life.

We also went on a week long trip to Scotland with Nini (Bryon's mom). When I say we, I mean Nini, me and the kiddos.. oh yes, we are crazy. We hopped in the car and drove to Edinburgh and up through the highlands. I remember several times thinking how thankful I was for my CRV. I've had that car since 2003 and have not had one problem, ever!!! When your driving through the Scottish Glens and around the lochs, sometimes not seeing civilization for an hour, you pray hard for your vehicle, lol.. I'll post more on the trip once I get the pictures loaded.

In the mist of the insanity, our only computer went kaput, so Bryon is working on repairing it. We here recently bought a netbook which is what I'm posting on now. Not sure how much capacity I'll have using it for pictures but I will soon see. Hopefully our computer will be up and running soon.

Sorry again for the silence. I'll be back to my normal here soon!

Walking here I come!

It's hard to believe my little baby boy is now 9 months old and walking with a walker. He is standing up on his own now and will be in everything before I blink my eyes. He's been crawling for weeks and loves to explore. Unlike his sister who wanted to spend all her time with me, he wants to figure out the world on his own. Amazing how different two siblings can be.

Welcome Anna Elizabeth!

Welcome to the world Anna Elizabeth Greene!! She weighed 8pounds and was 19 1/2 inches long! Elizabeth and Anna are doing well as you can see. Molly is very excited to have another little girl to play with, not that a slew of boy cousins isn't fun, but a girl needs to play tea party with someone! Can't wait to meet you sweet baby girl. Elizabeth had Anna totally naturally and I'm so proud of her! The Mushrush's love you Greene family!!

Turkish "souvenirs"

Traditional Hittite patterned wine flask with four goblets. This is a small one but a full sized one (about three times this size) is hung over your shoulder poured into the goblet. This style helps keep the wine cool and enhances the flavor aerating the wine as it is being poured out.

Incredible Turkish Rugs.. In the States when you think of quality rugs you think Persian.. In the UK when you think of quality rugs, you think Turkish! These flowered patterns are considered the pattern of Royalty which I never knew. Also, we were able to watch some Turkish rugs at different stages of the weaving process and are able to tell a high vs. low quality rug. So cool!

This is a traditional Turkish pattern. You see this type of rug hung all over Turkey.

Not waking up!

This is what happens when Molly doesn't get enough sleep. Little girl needs to go to bed earlier and this could be avoided :) Funny pictures tho!

TUESDAY, JANUARY 25, 2011 Loving the Dark And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. — John 3:19 The Pharisees did not doubt Jesus because they merely disagreed with Him. They doubted Jesus because they were hardened against him. Doubt is a matter of the mind. Even Christians have moments of doubt. We don't always understand what God is doing or why He is doing it. Unbelief, in contrast, is a matter of the will. It is a choice we make. The Pharisees were full of unbelief. They did not reject Jesus for lack of evidence or because He was not consistent with what He said. The fact is that Jesus was the perfect example. Even Pontius Pilate, who had examined countless people, said, "I find no fault in this Man" (Luke 23:4), and "I am innocent of the blood of this just Person" (Matthew 27:24). Judas Iscariot, who spent three, concentrated years with Jesus and even betrayed Him said, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood" (Matthew 27:4). So Jesus clearly was a model of everything that He said. The Pharisees rejected Jesus because it interfered with the way they wanted to live. And that is why people reject Him today. Jesus said, "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed" (John 3:19–20). People don't reject Jesus because they have carefully examined the evidence and have determined that it is not convincing enough. They don't reject Him because they have read through the Scriptures and have found some apparent contradiction. They don't reject Him because of the so-called hypocrisy of some in the church. They reject Him because He interferes with the way they want to live
