Plus, she was a lion and since he missed the Penn State game because of the trick or treating, somehow the costume made up for it :)

Trick or treating!
Pregnant stories
Bryon says I'm officially pregnant and that I have to share these two true stories with you all
Story One:
I made yummy chili for dinner last night but when I sat down to eat it, somehow it just didn't settle. So, I got a bowl of pickles and ranch dressing which hit the spot. Unfortunately, I ran out of pickles wayyy too soon, so I got a brilliant idea! I poured the pickle juice and ranch dressing into the chili and it was PERFECT!!!
Only after Bryon looked at me with his jaw hitting the floor and after I stopped to think about what I was doing, did I realize how gross it really was. Who cares, it was yummy!
Story two:
A couple of nights ago, Molly was asleep and Bryon and I were about to go to bed. I realized that I had forgotton to shower that day. I have this thing where I can't go to sleep unless I'm clean, so I told Bryon I was going to hop in the shower before bed.
The rest is kinda fuzzy, but somehow I went into the bathroom, turned on the water, picked up the shampoo and started lathering my hair while standing BESIDE the shower and with my clothes still ON! I walked out to say something to Bryon and again, his draw dropped and I realized that I had truly lost it.

playgroup Halloween party and potluck
Molly's playgroup on base had their Halloween party today. Molly dressed up as a lion and we all brought pot luck food for lunch. We had a great time and despite the sugar that Molly managed to consume, she zonked out for her nap immediately. Happy Halloween everyone!
Circle time where they read a spooky Halloween story and sang songs.
In a playgroup full of moms, all you have to say is potluck and this is what happens! YUM!
Surprise! Daddy came to the party and wasted no time joining in on the festivities.
Definitely her parent's child, a room full of toys and she goes straight for the books.
Mommy, I don't want this thing on my head.. :(

Pumpkin Festival
We spent the day today in the nearby city of Peterborough at the Sacrewell Farm where they were having their annual pumpkin festival. We went with our German friends Yasir and Kathrin and their two children Carolin and Silas. We had such a good time, despite the rain. They had a fairly spooky haunted mill and a fun tractor ride around the farm. We fed the rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, and all sorts of other animals. They had lots of inside stuff for the kids too like a bouncy castle, haunted ring toss game, face painting, pumpkin carving, etc. Perfect way to get in the Halloween spirit, muahhhhhahahahahahahah!!!
Let's go mom and dad. I'm waitingggg....

Advice
Hi everyone,
Quick question for you mom's out there. I am looking for a few good music cds for our car and need some recommendations. There are soooo many out there. I'm basically looking for two types: 1) popular children's songs like "Old McDonald" and 2) Christian children songs. I would prefer if children were singing on them. Alright, email me or reply to me here if you have any recommendations.
Thanks!

Amen!

I took this cartoon from a friend's facebook profile, but I agree wholeheartedly! Way to go to all the mom's who chose to breastfeed despite the stares and awkward comments and way to go to all the mom's who decided not to breastfeed despite pressure from everyone thinking you should. We as mom's feel enough pressure thinking that we are somehow not good enough, not doing enough for our kids, the last thing we need is more guilt! Have a great weekend to all the fantastic mom's out there!
We, as humans, are the only mammal that would ever be crazy enough to look down on the natural, normal, healthy feeding of our own kind. Much to our detriment.
In her new chapter on nipplephobia in the United States, Ina May Gaskin asks, "In what species besides our own would adult males or females harass a mother in the act of nourishing her young? Such behavior would not occur to any other creature."
I agree with her next observation: "I find this kind of behavior neurotic at best, but when it represents the norm for millions of people, I think we have reached the realm of near-psychosis - mass mental illness. If we humans watched adult birds diving and pecking at mother birds as they attempted to stuff worms and insects into the gaping beaks of their chicks, we would think we were watching a horror movie about birds gone mad. It IS horrible to see adults behaving in an infantile way that doesn't nurture the generations to come."

My pregnant brain
This is what happens to me when I am pregnant.. I loose my mind! Last night I was cooking dinner and totally forgot I had biscuits in the oven. Well you think something would have rang a bell when the kitchen started smoking, but no, I looked at the oven and thought to myself, gosh I left the oven on and it is burning something that must have dripped onto the bottom of the stove. So I just turned off the stove, STILL not realizing that I had biscuits in there. It wasn't until later on I thought, hey what ever happened to those biscuits? This is the consequence of my pregnancy brain.. scorched biscuits.

Birthday Cake!
This is the series of pictures we took while Molly dug into her birthday cake. It looks like she ate all of the cake, but really I just took it away at the end because she wanted the cake on the floor rather than in her mouth. And let me tell you, it was might hard getting the purple icing off of the tile and carpet.
