Day of Firsts!!!

What a day we had today. Here we are in Surfside Beach, hanging out and Molly decides to pull a bunch of tricks out of her hat. Backing up a bit, we took Molly to the doctor on Thursday before we came here to get antibiotic drops for her double pink eye. Well, come to find out she actually also had a double ear infection, boo. And not just a slight ear infection, the nurse practitioner said, 'her ear drums are about to burst!" So needless to say, she has not slept well these past few days and I feel like a terrible mom. This morning was no different. Around 5am, my sweet babies cry woke me up sounding very pitiful. I stumbled in to get her and found my sad little girl standing up holding onto the rails of the crib and shaking them. Ok, so first off no more low rails on the crib.. I got her up and she looked at me with the sweetest expression and said "Mama"!!!!!!!! She finally said Mama! yayy! Later on this evening, we were all at K&W having dinner and she says, "Nana!" So that just makes my mom and my days.

Well, on top of those two exceptional firsts, Molly can now offically crawl! She has been toying with crawling the past week, making a few crawling movements and going very short distances before flopping on her belly. Today, however, she started really crawling and fast! We took a quick video of her.

for Bryon

Happy Father's Day to my sweet fantastic husband Bryon. This is your first Father's Day and no one deserves a special day more than you. This time last year you were deployed, serving our country, and dealing with a pregnant hormonal wife. You kept your cool, through it all and worked hard to make it home in time for Molly to be born. Then you transitioned from being a full time soldier to a full time daddy. You had to deal with all of the things from your deployment while caring for a wife and child and made us feel so loved and cherished. Now we are making another transition from a comfortable army life to a whirlwind life in England. You are a leader, provider, father, lover, best friend and honorable man who I am proud to call my husband and Molly's father.

We love you sweetie!

Molly and Ayden

Molly has spent a lot of time with Ayden lately (my sister Mary's son). Here are some shots from them hanging out. They act like sister and brother, only Ayden better watch out because Molly is starting to hold her own!

Myrtle Beach trip

We had a great weekend at the beach with Bryon's family. Molly and Brandon had a great time bonding and giving kisses and for the first time ever, we got to see what it was like being a 'tourist'. Our beach house was full so we had to get a hotel in Myrtle Beach and boy was it a different feeling. This is the last time we will see Bryon's family before we leave so it was a very special last visit. The two most important things I learned from this trip. 1: Molly hates the sunshine and beach. She loves the water but screamed bloody murder when we were on the actual sand. 2: My new nephew's name is going to be Dominick!! I love this name and can't wait to meet him Diane! yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

This is the Molly we all know and love.

Check it out, our once bald baby is the proud owner of hair!!!

I decided the photographer needed to be in at least one picture :)

My goofy handsome husband

Tickle Tickle Tickle! I think Molly maybe winning this one.. She looks awfully serious.

Late night swim at the pool. Molly was a water bug and after about 10 minutes in the pool with pa pa, Brandon was warming up to the idea as well.

Molly's New Trick

Molly can now pull to standing! She is wobbly in her attempts and sometimes get's her foot caught under the table while pulling up but she can now pull up and does it as often as possible. She has no interest whatsoever in crawling, in fact, when she gets in the crawling position instead of just going with the crawl, she finds the nearest tall object and pulls to standing. haha! I'm not sure if she'll ever want to crawl but thats ok, I didn't care for crawling either. We may have a walker here soon if she can ever get her balance.

Chimney Rock and Hendersonville

These are a few of the pictures taken during our outing today to Chimney Rock and Hendersonville. We had a great time, walked in downtown Chimney Rock, had lunch at Larkins on the Lake, and strolled through Hendersonville and had dinner at the Marble Slab ice cream shop. Another memory to add to my memory book.

This is posed, Molly was not allowed to eat all that ice cream, however, she did have a few licks of Nana's snickerdoodle ice cream cone and almost jumped off of my dad's lap with excitement. The only person I've ever seen get that excited over ice cream is my sweet hubby, ice cream is his favorite food.

Rocking in her wooden rocking chair in Chimney Rock.

Walking around and shopping in downtown Hendersonville.

It's getting dark, time to head home.

Walmart trip

This picture is from my last Walmart shopping trip in Fayetteville before we moved. Molly decided to wake up at 5am-ish and so we went shopping before the crowds came out. It was a beautiful Saturday morning and we had the best time. As you can see, she is already a big helper, holding onto my bags and purse for me.

New departure date!

Well, our visa's have arrived and we were just informed that Bryon's new start date will be July 6th!!! That means we will be leaving sometime around Independence Day! We are so excited we finally have a date. Bryon told me the news over dinner at Outback tonight where we ate an appetizer AND desert in addition to our meals. We never eat out much less order an appetizer and desert. So, needless to say, we feel very excited, stuffed and anxious all at the same time tonight. Please keep us in your prayers during these next 4 weeks. It seems like so long but I know God has a plan for everything and there are a lot of hearts (ours especially) that needs to be strengthened before the big move.
