Took these pictures before heading to church for Molly's 'play'. As you can see she was a lamb. She and two of her little friends all matched, it was adorable. They sang "Away in a Manger" and she even pulled out a few correct motions :) Daniel just wanted to be in the pictures with Molly :)

Labor Day in the Lake District
My favorite town in the Lake District, Grasmere! Headed into town to see what we can see!
The grave of William Wordsworth. We totally stumbled upon this church and grave in Grasmere. I didn't even realize it was here until we saw a sign. Love it when you stumble unexpectedly upon something neat!
Molly at Wordsworth's grave
Beautiful scenery in the Lake District!
Another beautiful shot!
Our friend Trina, told us not to miss the Grasmere Gingerbread shop and she was sooo right! It was the yummiest thing I've put in my mouth in ages. It wasn't what you think of as gingerbread, hard to explain but you can visit this store online and order some for yourself! They also had locally made rum butter to go with it, mmmmmmm.
This is the road leading to Wordsworth's home just out side of Lake Windermere. Can you imagine walking through this quaint little area every day! No wonder he was so inspired.
Outside of Wordsworth's home.
Molly being cute :)
Taking a little stroll down one of the back roads
Daniel playing hide and seek behind the curtains. This is his favorite game, even now but he always gives himself away by his little toes hanging out.
Beatrix Potter, the famed author of stories like Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, and so many more is from the Lakes. We visited the Beatrix Potter Museum and exhibit. This is the Peter Rabbit display.
Little miniature tea room display in the museum. There was so much detail put into the displays. Each of her stories had it's own miniature display.
Mr. McGreggors Garden. They did extensive research into what plants, veggies, herbs, would have been grown during Beatrix Potter's day in this area of England. Then they replicated the garden here just as it would have been for Peter Rabbit in the story. They also use these veggies in the cafe in the museum.
Entryway
We stayed in a little 'log cabin' type spot in a holiday park. It rained most of the trip but the park included entrance into a large heated indoor pool, games, arcade, restaurants, playgrounds. So, we kept busy in and out of the rain!
We had fun! Time to head home!

Portugal Part 1
Alconbury Baptist Church Family Day
These are OLD pictures from this past June of our church sponsored family day. We spent the morning doing archery and rock climbing and then had a great British BBQ. This was Bryon's first experience with archery and he rocked it, as you can see from the bull's eye shot! Molly and Daniel discovered a new love for hula hooping :) I didn't do much blogging over the summer so as I come upon old pictures I'll keep posting them even though they are late! Better late then never ;)
