Growing green onions

Growing green onions in your window seal.

Buy a bundle of green onions and use them down to the white 'stem'.  Then fill a glass with water and put the little stems in the water in a well lit area (window seals work great).   They will grow and grow!  I can't use them fast enough, as you can see from the height of these onions.

I've had this batch of onions for 3 months now and they don't look like they are slowing down any time soon!  This is a great way to save money and add a splash of green to your kitchen window seal.

Loving your blog! I just caught up on the most recent 4 posts or so, love it! Keep them coming! Love this green onion idea! I dream of the day I get to start my own garden, so I love knowing this easy indoor idea. :) And love the cake pop showcase. I have been thinking how fun a gift that would be for a young daughter to help encourage mom/daughter kitchen time. Like the extra ideas to give more incentive to get one for our house!
