I don't feel any different.
Someone asked me if I'm dreading 30 as I'm not longer a "young adult" any more. Apparently, I'm a full fledged adult now.
My reply was, "I've been a full fledged adult for ages!" To be honest with you, I feel like I've lived enough life to be 40!
Someone else said that they loved 30 because they were considered mature enough to be taken seriously by other adults. You opinion mattered more at 30.
Several people said, "30 is the new 20!"
So I thought I should reflect on my life at this point, see where I've been and where I'd like to go from here. The outcome of the reflection was simply..
I'm thankful for..
My husband
My children
My life
My Salvation
The ability to make a difference in the lives of others
Beauty and Serenity
Precious moments when everything you do is worth it
Great books
Places I'd like to go
(Vietnam)
Places I've been
(Norwegian Fijords)
People I Respect
(Mom and Dad)
People I Respect
(Glenn Walker)
Basics of Life
(running water, a home, food, clothing)
My Freedom
My education and accomplishments
Memories, that I'll never forget...
The ability to stay connected no matter where you are.
The ability to get away from that connection at times and retreat to places of stillness.
The luxuries of life. Namely, taking hot baths :)
So.. bye bye 20's!! You were great! Looking forward to seeing all God has in store for my 30s!
