This is what happens to me when I am pregnant.. I loose my mind! Last night I was cooking dinner and totally forgot I had biscuits in the oven. Well you think something would have rang a bell when the kitchen started smoking, but no, I looked at the oven and thought to myself, gosh I left the oven on and it is burning something that must have dripped onto the bottom of the stove. So I just turned off the stove, STILL not realizing that I had biscuits in there. It wasn't until later on I thought, hey what ever happened to those biscuits? This is the consequence of my pregnancy brain.. scorched biscuits.

They are still delicious. I love you sweetie.
I thought it was filet, and thought "what a sad waste of perfectly good steak." Then I thought, maybe they were cookies...nah, a lil too thick. You successfully burnt them beyond recognition. Congrats...round of applause for you coz that's not easy to do!
And Bryon, your comment---for someone who doesn't like cheese, you're the cheesiest person I know. "They ARE still delicious..." --- you still gnawing on one? Pack one in your lunch? Soak that sucker in some tea for a few hours and it'll be just fine. :o)
Diane you leave my husband alone! That was sweet hunny, I'll make you all the burnt biscuits you want, anytime!
See what ya did Bryon---you encouraged her! Or is the food over there THAT bad, that those biscuits are appetizing? LoL
Haley, I dont think there will be a need for another batch anytime soon. I think it'll take awhile to saw through those ones...and I don't think you'll have to worry about them going bad. To my knowledge, charcoal doesn't mold. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Wow...those were some biscuits...I thought they were chocolate cookies of some sort and you know how i love anything chocolate!!! Guess I cannot get the recipe from you...lol
Still, I know what a wonderful cook you are, and it was sooo brave of you to share with all of us your "pregnant brain biscuits". If you make any more, just put them in the freezer and you and i can put some chocolate frosting on them when i come over and enjoy with a cup of coffee(my other favorite food group)...lol
OK one more and I'll leave it alone...well, unless I think of something else funny.
Haley, you took 'flaky' biscuits to a whole new level.
hahahahaha.
Pregnancy brain will get you every time. We won't talk about how many times Will ran back upstairs to get my purse. I can admit to the time that I baked a cake for about 3.5 hours. It was supposed to bake for 30 min. Luckily it was baking in stone ware. So instead of burning and smoking, it just started drying/hardening. There was about a dime size tunnel through the bundt cake that was moist enough to remotely call edible.
Hahaha! Keep the pregO brain stories coming!!
